Summer Camp Aquatic Staff
The Chestnut Hill School Summer Camp is accredited by The American Camp Association and offers campers of all ages, abilities, and interests a wide range of fun, safe, and engaging art, sport, STEM, and swimming programs. Our experienced staff promotes a positive and respectful camp environment where campers enjoy learning new skills and making friendships. Our campus includes over 30 classrooms, a gymnasium, outdoor playgrounds, sports fields, and two outdoor heated pools.
Position:
Our Aquatics Staff, under the guidance and support of the Aquatics Director, will supervise, teach, and evaluate the swim progress of campers ages 4-12. Collaboratively, Swim staff work together to deliver fun skill building activities for a small group (same level) of campers. Swim group ratios are typically five campers to one swim staff and one counselor. Swim staff gain valuable teaching experience, planning for both small group lessons and lifeguarding throughout the day.
2025 Dates & Hours:
- All Staff Training Day, Saturday, June 14th, from 9:00 am - 3:00 pm
- Summer Camp: June 23rd - August 15th from 8:15 pm - 4:15 pm
- The camp closed on Friday, July 4th.
Qualifications: (Minimum Qualifications and Experience)
- Current certification in WSI, and/or LGT, First Aid/CPR/AED.
- Re-certification reimbursement available
Abilities and Physical Aspects of the Position:
- Demonstrate appropriate swimming skill level
- Possess good communication skills and ability to enforce safety regulations and procedures
- Able to work outdoors and supervise children while in the pool
- Show flexibility when collaborating with a team
